This website is class! I've seen lots of blog sites and often wondered how people with very little HTML knowledge (and that includes me) get them to look so slick. Now I know; they cheat! And good on them.
All I have to do is type my thoughts into this little box and WordPress converts it all into a stylish looking blog page. I can even add pictures and stuff. Awesome.
Anyway, hello and welcome to my blog site thing. I'm writing this very first blog less than an hour after the Championship Semi-Final first leg between Crystal Palace and Watford. The final score was 3-0 to Watford. And as a Palace fan I'm a little gutted, to say the least. But I'm not surprised. They do it to us every time. I should have seen it coming really. I know Palace far to well to pretend that we were going to go up this time; of course we weren't; we were the favourites! Palace can't be the favourites! In fact, Palace can't do anything conventionally. We invariably have to be the underdogs to stand a chance.
Why can't they do anything straight forward? It would make following them a hell of a lot easier and less stressful. I'm only 21 and I've discovered a receding hairline creeping on. Thanks Palace. Still, and I say this every time Palace let me down (which is more than they don't by the way), it wouldn't be Palace without the downs; it makes the highs taste even sweeter. Which is easy to say, but it doesn't stop me feeling like I've been punched in the face in times like these.
Oh well, there's always next season. (God I hate that phrase. It's reserved for the perennial underachievers. The teams who accept mediocrity and are happy with crap. Well, I'm not. I hate it. I hate crap. And I hate paying £30+ a game to watch it. But what choice do I have? Go on, tell me. That's right; none. No choice what-so-ever. I'm stuck with Palace.)
And on that happy note, I'll end my first blog. They get happier, I promise. Next time Palace do something good, like get promoted, point me in the direction of this blog.
